IT HelpDesk Support Engineer

About the role

Syffer is looking for an IT HelpDesk Support Engineer to provide first and second‑level assistance to end users on‑site. You will be part of the IT support organization, ensuring daily business operations run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second level support for Windows 10/11 clients and related applications.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and changes using the ITSM ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners and mobile devices.
• Perform password resets, account lockouts, and access permission changes.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems and applications via SCCM.
• Administer Active Directory accounts, group policies and access controls.
• Deploy patches, security updates and antivirus definitions; monitor system performance.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory and support VTC systems.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and assist in incident response.
• Create and update SOPs, troubleshooting guides and provide user training.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows client operating systems (Windows 10/11).
• Experience with SCCM, Active Directory and ITSM ticketing tools.
• Ability to work on‑site and collaborate with network teams.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward user assistance.
