IPU Manager

About the role

ABB is seeking an IPU Manager to ensure efficient, cost‑effective production that meets demand, quality, and planning targets. You will lead plant equipment, personnel, and processes to deliver high‑quality products on time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the annual production budget, monitoring progress and addressing cost issues.
• Develop programs, projects, goals and metrics to drive operational performance and optimize working capital.
• Implement plans to reduce non‑value‑added costs, increase revenue and improve product quality and delivery.
• Oversee Four Quadrants (4Q) training and methods implementation across the organization.
• Manage manufacturing sub‑contracts and coordinate with Supply Chain Management, ensuring health, safety and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in procurement, logistics, engineering or similar management roles within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to supervise, train, counsel and evaluate staff.
• Compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, VPP and ABB’s HR policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using Oracle systems.
• General PC knowledge.
