iOS Developer - AI Finance Agent

About the role

BJAK, the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia, is looking for iOS engineers to build the native iOS experience for its app. The role focuses on clean user flows, fast performance and reliable mobile features used by real customers, and is remote but open only to candidates based in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship native iOS features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards and AI-assisted user journeys.
• Make complex financial flows feel clean, fast and simple on mobile.
• Work with product, design, backend and AI engineers to turn concepts into production releases.
• Own app quality: performance, crash rate, loading states, edge cases, responsiveness and release stability.
• Use production feedback, analytics and customer behaviour to improve features after launch.
• Integrate APIs, authentication, secure data handling and financial workflows with a focus on reliability.

Required profile

• Strong native iOS experience using Swift; shipped iOS apps used by real users.
• Good understanding of SwiftUI, UIKit, async/await and iOS architecture patterns.
• Strong product sense and care for UX, not just building screens.
• Able to debug production issues and improve performance and reliability.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and moving fast in a startup environment.
• Real technology career highlights, such as having helped build, ship or scale a serious product, platform or system.
• Strong English communication; the main working language across global teams.
