Investment & Strategy Associate – Lisbon

About the role

We are building our Lisbon team at Dedale, a strategic intelligence firm focused on technology. The Investment & Strategy Associate will conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies, support due diligence and financial analysis, and deliver insights for multi‑million investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies.
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on publicly listed and privately owned firms.
• Leverage quantitative modelling and qualitative insights through expert interviews.
• Collaborate with peers and experienced ex‑Tier 1 consultants to produce high‑quality deliverables.
• Communicate research findings internally and externally to support investment decisions.
• Monitor identified companies daily and prepare financial research, strategic screening, and communication materials.

Required profile

• Tier 1 engineering or business school graduate specializing in Business, Finance, Corporate Finance, Engineering or Strategy.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in strategy, finance or business, including internships in finance, tech, startup or corporate environments.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong Excel skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to identify key inputs and correlations.
• Strong oral and written communication in English; additional languages (French, German, Italian) are a plus.
