Internal Auditor – Compliance & Cross‑Functional Audits

About the role

Volkswagen Group Services is looking for an Internal Auditor to join its Audit HUB in Lisbon. The hub provides financial, operational and compliance audit services across the Volkswagen Group worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform worldwide cross‑functional audits at external business partners and VW entities, focusing on the Compliance Management System.
• Conduct special investigations triggered by the Whistleblower System.
• Promote continuous improvement of internal audit processes and enhance the tools used for audits.
• Establish and maintain a network with peers in the Internal Audit community and relevant Group functions.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field (master’s preferred).
• Experience in internal audit or compliance investigations.
• Professional certification preferred (e.g., CIA, CA, CPA, CFE, CISA).
• Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages such as French or Russian are a plus.
• High integrity, independence, tenacity, resilience and strong analytical thinking.
• Team‑oriented, proactive and reliable.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~30% of the time).

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
