Inside Sales Professional – Pre‑Need Cemetery Services

About the role

This Inside Sales Professional role supports families by arranging at‑need cemetery services and selling pre‑need plans. The position provides personalized, empathetic service while generating revenue for the cemetery operation.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and prospect for at least 1‑2 hours each day.
• Obtain referrals from families served and build community relationships.
• Present cemetery and pre‑need options to families and referred contacts.
• Track activity levels to maintain productivity.
• Respond promptly, respectfully, and sensitively to client inquiries.
• Listen to families, understand unique needs, and propose appropriate solutions.
• Follow up on customer issues, ensure satisfaction, and maintain ongoing contact.
• Earn referrals by building trust‑based relationships.
• Collaborate with funeral directors, location managers, and cemetery staff to deliver seamless service.
• Review previous interactions to support current needs and sales opportunities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1‑2 years of college or comparable experience.
• 1‑2 years of customer service or sales experience (preferred).
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance license if required by state law.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and up to 12‑hour days.
• Empathy, respect for others, and strong communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Required skills

• Pass the company’s internal presentation certification within 30 days of hire.
• Customer service proficiency.
• Computer and software familiarity.
