Industrial Engineer – Production Optimization

About the role

As an Industrial Engineer at Bosch Car Multimedia in Braga, you will drive the optimisation of production processes, enhance efficiency, and support the industrialisation of new automotive products. Your work will help create safer, more ergonomic, and highly productive manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor development and implementation of new production processes, focusing on methods, times and ergonomics.
• Develop, maintain and update manufacturing and control work instructions.
• Balance and optimise workstations and production lines.
• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure future industrialisation readiness.
• Conduct timing studies, MTM analyses and capacity assessments.
• Analyse and implement product and process changes.
• Prepare cost calculations and offers for new products.
• Maintain process data in the SAP system.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in an industrial environment, preferably automotive production.
• Background in process optimisation, work measurement or industrial‑engineering methodologies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MTM, SAP‑CAPP and REFA.
• Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Standardised Work.
