Industrial Designer – R&D (Product Development)

About the role

Artnovion is seeking an Industrial Designer to join its R&D team in Paços de Ferreira. The role focuses on creating high-performance acoustic products that combine cutting-edge technology with striking aesthetics. You will work closely with engineers and production staff to turn concepts into market-ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative design concepts and detailed 2D/3D drawings for acoustic products.
• Produce prototypes, select appropriate materials, and test designs for performance and visual appeal.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams throughout the product development cycle.
• Conduct research on industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to keep the product line competitive.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Strong creative mindset with proven ability to generate original concepts.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Organised, detail-oriented and capable of handling several projects at once.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, SketchUp and V‑Ray for 3D modelling and rendering.
• Experience with Office 365, Slack and ClickUp for documentation and collaboration.
• Hands‑on prototyping and material selection knowledge.
