In-house Legal Counsel - Project Finance & M&A

About the role

Greenvolt is a renewable energy group operating internationally. We are seeking an In‑house Legal Counsel to join our legal team, focusing on project finance, financing operations and M&A activities. The role offers the chance to work on complex, high‑impact transactions, especially structured finance and banking matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents such as financing agreements, purchase and sale contracts and ancillary agreements.
• Provide legal advice on financing, banking transactions and M&A activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Support the structuring and execution of financing transactions through legal analysis and interpretation of relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes.
• Guide internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices related to financing and M&A transactions.

Required profile

• Law degree (Master’s degree is a plus) and admission to the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados).
• At least 5 years of professional experience in legal advisory, contract management, compliance or related areas.
• Previous experience in banking, financial transactions or structured finance is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of banking, financial and corporate law.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
