I&C Commissioning Engineer – Power Plant & Energy Projects

About the role

You will represent the Instrumentation and Control Commissioning Group on global projects, ensuring the seamless operation of I&C and Distributed Control System equipment for large‑scale, low‑emission power plants, grid‑stabilising systems and battery storage solutions. Working on‑site with a multinational team, you will commission individual components or whole systems and provide feedback to drive product improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of Distributed Control Systems, Instrumentation & Control and process systems for combined‑cycle power plants and energy‑transition projects.
• Conduct tests on protection and control systems, optimise controls and troubleshoot using Siemens Energy DCS (e.g., OMNIVISE T3000) or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, coordinate external partners and sub‑contractors, and engage directly with customers.
• Ensure quality of services and continuous improvement based on on‑site experience.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Robotics, Control Engineering (BSc/MSc) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Business‑fluent German and fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and live abroad for extended periods.
• Valid driving licence.
