HVAC Technician – Refrigeration License & EPA Certified

About the role

Mentor Technical Group is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support its life‑science facilities. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations on heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, and refrigeration equipment while ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Install, wire, and pipe new heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Calibrate thermostats, adjust system controls, and balance airflow according to manufacturer specifications.
• Repair or replace motors, belts, filters, and other wear components.
• Service steam and hot‑water boilers and ensure proper chemical composition in equipment.
• Fabricate or modify parts when standard components are unavailable.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and document all work performed.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory needed for HVAC projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; PR HVAC License required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an HVAC technician.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, safety procedures, and cGMP guidelines.
