HVAC Service Technician

About the role

Join Trane Technologies as an HVAC Service Technician, working on‑site at customer locations to install, repair and maintain climate control systems. You will support the Service Technician Supervisor and HVAC Field Supervisor, ensuring high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment following blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, modifications and troubleshoot equipment issues on‑site.
• Maintain inventory, document service activities and prepare reports.
• Order parts, deliver components to job sites and conduct vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Travel to customer locations, including occasional overnight trips, and work overtime or weekends when required.

Required profile

• Associate degree or HVAC diploma with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Fluent reading comprehension in English and Spanish.
• Valid driver’s license and EPA Universal certification.
• Ability to work independently in the field and follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Refrigeration theory and HVAC system knowledge.
• Control systems and pipe‑fitting expertise.
• Blueprint reading and use of hand and power tools.
• Computer‑based diagnostics and troubleshooting.
