HSE & Maintenance Manager

Joining Sidel Santa Maria da Feira as HSE & Maintenance Manager means becoming a key driver of operational reliability, workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage the local HSE management system in line with Sidel standards, policies and local regulations.
• Lead HSE audits, risk assessments and incident investigations while defining and monitoring corrective and preventive action plans.
• Define and coordinate site safety training initiatives including fire drills, emergency preparedness and first‑aid programs.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and operational continuity of equipment, machinery and facilities.
• Monitor site security, access control, fire protection systems and contractor activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety performance, service quality, operational efficiency and cost optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, HSE or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environmental management within an industrial environment.
• Good understanding of installation, commissioning and industrial maintenance activities.
• Fluent Portuguese and English are mandatory.
• Hands‑on leadership style, strong organisational skills and the ability to work proactively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in security risk management, major projects or construction activities would be an advantage.
