Housekeeping Manager – Luxury Boutique Hotel

About the role

As the Executive Housekeeper at Quinta da Comporta Wellness Boutique Hotel, you will lead the housekeeping department and ensure an exceptional guest experience across rooms, villas, and public areas. You will be the guardian of cleanliness, presentation, and service standards in a luxury setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, organise and develop the housekeeping team.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and service.
• Oversee room inspections, arrivals, departures and turndown service.
• Implement and maintain housekeeping SOPs and quality standards.
• Manage schedules, staffing, stock, linen and departmental administration.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and team development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Prepare the department for quality audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Solid housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong operational, organisational and quality‑control abilities.
• Exceptional eye for detail and presentation.
• Commitment to luxury hospitality and guest experience.
• Excellent communication, sound judgement and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
• Absolute discretion, professionalism and resilience.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages are a plus.
