High Voltage Substation Engineer

About the role

Join Siemens Energy as an Engineering Developer focused on high‑voltage substation projects. You will contribute to the design, execution and delivery of critical energy infrastructure that supports the global energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the successful completion of high‑voltage substation projects from civil and structural phases to detailed electrical engineering.
• Collaborate with customers and internal multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.
• Integrate advanced technologies such as power electronics, renewable generation and HVDC into high‑voltage grids.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, automation and telecommunications teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Participate in occasional travel for project meetings and site visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc or MSc) or equivalent experience, preferably with a focus on power engineering.
• Proven experience on high‑voltage substation projects, especially during the execution phase.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in spoken and written Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using technical calculation tools.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
