Hardware Development Engineer – Radar

About the role

Join Bosch's automotive sensors team in Braga and help create the next generation of radar systems for assisted and automated driving. You will be responsible for designing, analysing and validating rugged electronic control units that enable safe, reliable vehicle operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate ECUs, including switch‑mode power supplies, high‑precision analog front‑ends and high‑speed digital circuits for MCU/SoC architectures.
• Perform schematic capture and oversee structured PCB layout while ensuring strict signal‑ and power‑integrity compliance.
• Optimize existing designs for performance, cost, manufacturability and reliability.
• Identify technological improvement opportunities and solve complex mixed‑signal and system‑level challenges.
• Balance performance, efficiency, cost‑effectiveness and robustness throughout product development.
• Execute projects using Bosch’s development and lifecycle management processes from concept to series production and support.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
