Group Finance Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Finance Controller to join a private‑equity backed international technology business operating in Portugal. The role will be pivotal in shaping a scalable, high‑performing finance function during a period of rapid growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and year‑end group close.
• Lead the group consolidation process across multiple entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
• Coordinate external audits and collaborate with senior finance stakeholders.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Experience in group reporting and consolidation within an international, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Hands‑on, structured and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with international stakeholders.
• Previous experience in a PE‑backed or technology business is advantageous.
