Google Cloud DevOps Engineer – Distributed Cloud

About the role

Our Devoteam Distributed Cloud team is looking for a DevOps GCP Engineer to join and challenge the current team. The role focuses on building and evolving our GKE ecosystem, leading the Infrastructure as Code strategy, and implementing robust monitoring and SRE practices.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) ecosystem to support high‑performance workloads.
• Lead the Infrastructure as Code strategy using Terraform and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement robust monitoring and Site Reliability Engineering practices to ensure platform stability and security.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise cloud‑native delivery and share senior expertise.

Required profile

• Strong experience with core Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, IAM, Networking, and Cloud Storage.
• Hands‑on experience with GKE, including cluster management and Helm.
• Proficiency in Terraform for automated provisioning.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Ability to implement observability using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Stackdriver), Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and mentor team members.
• Good level of English, both written and spoken.
