Global Strategic Purchaser

About the role

Vestas is seeking a Global Strategic Purchaser to lead the procurement of tools used in both onshore and offshore wind projects. You will work within a high‑performing, cross‑functional team, collaborating with stakeholders across the value chain to secure reliable and cost‑effective supply.

Key responsibilities

• Drive global procurement of TCM tools for on‑shore and offshore wind installations.
• Coordinate procurement activities with cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment on new product introductions, costing, and supplier risk management.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and contracting, including NDA, purchase and price agreements.
• Consolidate suppliers to optimise the supply chain based on total landed cost and strategic road‑maps.
• Manage master data and monitor commodity KPI performance, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in global procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proficient analytical skills with advanced use of Excel (including pivots).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
