Global Finance Intern

About the role

Join Boston Consulting Group’s Lisbon Capability Center as a Finance Analyst Intern. Over a 12‑month period you will rotate across multiple finance teams, gaining hands‑on experience in financial operations, planning, analytics and business partnering within a global consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial analysis, reporting and operational activities across rotating finance teams.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and business performance tracking.
• Assist with data analysis, report preparation and insight generation for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, workflows and team efficiency.
• Support automation and AI‑enabled initiatives that enhance day‑to‑day finance operations.
• Collaborate with global and cross‑functional teams on ongoing projects and operational priorities.
• Participate in a capstone project focused on operational improvement or process automation.
• Build familiarity with BCG finance tools, systems and ways of working through hands‑on experience.

Required profile

• Currently completing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with large data sets and interpreting financial or operational information.
• Curiosity about strategic planning, process improvement, automation and AI applications.
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
