Global Commodity Buyer – Strategic Sourcing Role

About the role

As a Global Commodity Buyer you will shape Bosch’s worldwide purchasing strategy, ensuring a competitive, resilient and sustainable supply base for its automotive electronics business. You will work from Braga, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity and part‑family strategies based on market and supplier analysis.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation, consolidation and cost optimisation.
• Design sourcing strategies that align with Bosch’s global business objectives.
• Manage supplier capacities for new and existing projects, ensuring readiness for growth.
• Lead negotiations on capacity planning, commercial terms and supply‑chain performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders worldwide.
• Support cross‑functional teams by identifying risks and driving sustainable solutions.
• Oversee contract management and contribute to supplier risk assessment.
• Monitor market trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, commodity management or supply‑chain functions.
• Experience working with suppliers in an international environment.
