Generative AI Engineer – Backend Software

About the role

WIT Software is building an innovative product that combines generative AI with telecom services. As a Generative AI Engineer you will design and implement backend systems that power AI‑driven digital services for mobile operators worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in Go, Java, Node.js, Kotlin or similar languages.
• Develop high‑performance servers and RESTful APIs, and implement gRPC services.
• Research, fine‑tune, and integrate generative AI models (e.g., GPT, BERT, LLaMA) into backend pipelines.
• Design and maintain Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using tools such as LangChain or Haystack.
• Integrate vector databases like Pinecone or Milvus for RAG workflows.
• Optimize application performance for production deployments and ensure zero‑downtime operations.
• Document code, contribute to technical documentation, and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of computer‑science fundamentals, internet protocols and software‑engineering best practices.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and communicate complex topics clearly in English.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, design patterns and code reviews.
