General Ledger & Reporting Accountant

About the role

Join Eurofins' Shared Services Center as a General Ledger & Reporting Accountant, where you will own key accounting processes and help ensure accurate financial reporting for a global life‑sciences company.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and oversee general ledger activities, supporting month‑end close and preparing journal entries, including complex and ad‑hoc postings.
• Manage end‑to‑end fixed‑assets processes such as additions, disposals and depreciation.
• Perform intercompany and balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and deliver insightful P&L and balance‑sheet analysis.
• Prepare corporate reporting packages, upload data into tools like Cognos, and support VAT, tax reporting and audit processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements while collaborating with finance teams, controllers and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of Record‑to‑Report experience, preferably in an SSC/BPO environment.
• Strong ownership, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, international setting.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools such as Cognos.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
