GenAI Engineer – AI Agent Development for Engineering

About the role

As a GenAI Engineer at Bosch, you will create intelligent AI agents that automate and enhance engineering workflows across the automotive division. You will translate complex engineering use cases into reliable, compliant generative AI solutions that accelerate innovation and improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and implement GenAI agents for tasks such as requirements analysis, documentation assistance, test interpretation and failure analysis.
• Build and maintain AI pipelines using large language models, embeddings, vector databases and domain‑specific knowledge sources.
• Integrate AI agents with engineering tools, PLM systems, test data platforms and document management systems.
• Develop Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for structured and semi‑structured engineering data.
• Ensure agent reliability, traceability and safe behavior in regulated environments.
• Collaborate with domain experts, security and compliance teams to evaluate usability and ensure responsible AI usage.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• Experience in generative AI development, agent orchestration or AI‑assisted tooling.
• Solid software engineering background, preferably with Python and API/microservice development.
• Experience handling structured and semi‑structured data such as JSON, PDFs and engineering documentation.
