FullStack Team Leader (French Speaker)

About the role

Natixis in Portugal is looking for a seasoned FullStack Team Leader who is fluent in French to join the BPCE‑SI team in Porto. The role combines hands‑on development with people leadership, operating in a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team through regular 1‑on‑1s, development plans and a continuous‑learning culture.
• Set clear quarterly objectives (OKRs/KPIs) aligned with business strategy.
• Partner with HR to fill talent gaps, conduct technical interviews and onboard new members.
• Manage stakeholder expectations in French, translate business needs into technical road‑maps and ensure transparent communication.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove blockers and drive continuous improvement.
• Architect, develop and maintain scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.
• Champion code quality through TDD, pair programming, thorough code reviews and robust testing.
• Participate in high‑level architectural decisions to ensure long‑term scalability.

Required profile

• Minimum 9 years of professional Java development experience, including Spring Boot, Hibernate and micro‑services architecture.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with modern Angular, state management and RxJS.
• Good understanding of relational and non‑relational databases and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering projects in an Agile environment.
• Fluent French communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
