Full Stack Java Engineer – Remote (9+ months)

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a key client partner in Portugal on a remote, 9‑month+ engagement. You will lead the design and delivery of complex full‑stack features while shaping the IAM/SSO strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement full‑stack features across EXPOSE and SEARCH modules.
• Own the IAM/SSO strategy, including Okta authorization server design, OIDC flow architecture, and per‑Maison access control.
• Define front‑end engineering standards for React.js, covering authentication patterns, state management, and performance.
• Drive technical discussions with customer architects, produce Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and contribute to long‑term roadmaps.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues across the stack.
• Lead code reviews and champion quality tools such as SonarQube and Snyk.
• Mentor junior and confirmed engineers.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding materials.
