Front Office Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Front Office Manager to lead the Front Office, Concierge and Porter teams at Martinhal Lisbon Oriente, a luxury resort in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações district. The role combines hands‑on guest interaction with operational and financial oversight, ensuring an exceptional experience for international guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and supervise the Front Office, Concierge and Porter staff.
• Oversee check‑in, check‑out and overall guest experience, handling complaints and service recovery.
• Coordinate daily with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage and Reservations.
• Manage billing, city tax, deposits, night audit and cash‑closing procedures.
• Monitor operational, financial and guest‑satisfaction KPIs.
• Control departmental schedules, costs and overtime.
• Recruit, train and evaluate team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as Front Office Manager or Assistant Manager in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Strong guest focus, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English; French or Spanish a plus.
• Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism or related field.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Experience with serviced apartments or extended‑stay properties is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel Property Management System (PMS).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
