Front-end Development Trainee (React)

About the role

As a Front-end Development Trainee you will join Siemens Energy’s Digital Services team and work alongside experienced developers to build and maintain React-based user interfaces. The role offers hands-on experience with modern web technologies, REST API integration and collaborative agile practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining frontend applications using React.
• Learn to integrate and consume REST APIs to connect frontend with backend services.
• Write clean, reusable and testable UI components following team standards.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and other agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to understand API contracts and ensure smooth integration.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Interest or initial experience with React (components, props, state, hooks).
• Understanding of REST API concepts and Git version control.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
