About the role
We are seeking experienced researchers to provide expert peer reviews for manuscripts in emergency, transplant, and urologic surgery. This freelance position allows you to contribute to the scientific community while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts.
- Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
- Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
- Analyse results and conclusions for clarity and validity.
- Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
- Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.
Required profile
- Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant medical discipline.
- At least two peer‑reviewed publications in the last two years.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
Required skills
- Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
