Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead project and program financial controlling activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. You will work closely with stakeholders to define financial targets, monitor performance, and support decision‑making across multiple initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive yearly forecasts, multi‑year budgets and quarterly forecast exercises.
• Establish consolidated financial reporting, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, and highlight risks and opportunities.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities to guarantee timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain consistency and compliance across financial reporting tools and processes.
• Support project financial performance, approve and audit purchase orders, trigger cost transfers and attend cost reviews.
• Prepare and update master data (CBS, WBS, cost centers) in planning tools.
• Provide EAC (Estimate at Completion) process support, including reforecasting and consistency checks.
• Manage inventory controlling, create new projects in management tools and support supplier invoice approvals.

Required profile

• Business Management education in Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in financial controlling or a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.
• Ability to deliver accurate recurring financial statements.
• Analytical mindset with capacity to switch between big‑picture and detailed views.
• Proactive problem‑solver with an entrepreneurial, deliverable‑driven attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
