Finance Internal Control Specialist – Internal Control Officer

About the role

The Finance Internal Control Specialist will join Airbus' Finance Internal Control department in Lisbon. Reporting to the Group’s Internal Control department, the role supports the deployment and steering of the internal control system across the Finance function, helping to raise overall performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the annual ICSA Core & AGBS campaign, ensuring questionnaire consistency with Airbus Internal Financial Control Standards.
• Provide guidance and training to process owners, including awareness sessions, documentation updates, FAQs, and internal training.
• Drive the deployment of internal controls, identifying key risks and first‑line controls using an end‑to‑end approach.
• Promote internal control values within Finance operations to increase awareness.
• Conduct second‑line testing (2LT) to verify self‑assessment responses, test the design effectiveness of first‑line controls, and issue recommendations when gaps are identified.
• Alert the internal control central team and Business Area Head of major deviations, record results in the IC tool, and report findings.
• Support the definition and set‑up of the internal control system and assist the first line in understanding control concepts and simplifying processes.
• Participate actively in Airbus’ internal control network while maintaining independence from first‑line operations.
