Field Application Engineer – Customer Solutions

About the role

The Field Application Engineer will work closely with customers to demonstrate Bosch products, execute pilot projects and provide technical consulting. The role combines hands‑on engineering support with travel to regional sites and global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support product demonstrations, pilot projects and evaluations together with customers.
• Travel to support regional organization and customer engagements worldwide.
• Deliver RTA software product trainings and provide second‑level support.
• Develop and maintain RTA Starter Kits and create documentation, white papers and videos.
• Assist product development by gathering customer requirements and providing consulting.
• Coach and mentor members of the FAE team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering discipline (e.g., computer science, control engineering, electronics).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Willingness to travel frequently for customer support.
• Strong presentation, communication and intercultural skills.
• Analytical mindset with business analysis capabilities.
