Fermentation Operator

About the role

The Fermentation Operator supports manufacturing operations by safely operating and monitoring processing equipment to produce food products that meet safety, quality, and production standards. The role follows established procedures to ensure consistent product flow while maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor processing equipment according to standard operating procedures to meet production requirements.
• Follow production schedules, recipes, and work instructions to ensure accurate processing and product consistency.
• Perform process and quality checks, completing required documentation to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor equipment performance and make routine adjustments within defined parameters.
• Identify and report equipment issues, process deviations, or safety concerns to supervisors or maintenance.
• Conduct routine cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping tasks to maintain food safety standards.
• Handle raw materials and in‑process product safely according to procedures.
• Support changeovers, startups, shutdowns, and other routine production activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate processing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to defined limits.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
