F&B Host – Guest Service Role in Douro Valley

About the role

Six Senses Douro Valley is looking for a friendly and professional Food & Beverage Host to welcome guests in a UNESCO‑protected environment. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth and memorable arrival experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival, conduct welcome and check‑in procedures using guest names whenever possible.
• Answer outlet telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables, assist with seating, and present menus.
• Take food and beverage orders from any outlet menu.
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of menus and wine lists, updating them as needed.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place for restaurant service before opening.
• Assist in controlling operational budget and costs to maximize profitability.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Portugal.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Own car for commuting to the property.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional service.
