Facilities & Utilities Supervisor

About the role

The Facilities & Utilities Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing maintenance and repair activities across all building utilities and facilities. Working under the Utilities and Facilities Manager, you will lead a team of technicians to ensure reliable operation, customer satisfaction and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all utilities and facility services.
• Assist in scheduling contracted maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise HVAC technicians, electricians, mechanics and handymen in daily and 24/7 operations.
• Conduct regular walk‑through inspections and initiate repairs as needed.
• Prepare job estimates, quotations and service reports.
• Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities and ensure alignment with company processes (estimates, work orders, invoices, payroll).
• Promote a zero‑accident safety culture and ensure timely reporting of incidents.
• Foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal service teams.
• Perform annual employee evaluations and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in facilities or utilities maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet tools.
• Ability to work under pressure for extended periods.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (oral and written).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Solid knowledge of job‑site safety; OSHA 30‑hour training is a plus.
