European Tax Analyst – Insurance Premium Tax (Lisbon)

About the role

We are looking for a European Tax Analyst to support a tax transformation programme across multiple European jurisdictions. The role focuses on Insurance Premium Tax compliance, operational tax support, and the tax aspects of international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Support European Insurance Premium Tax reporting and compliance in several countries.
• Coordinate with outsourced compliance providers to ensure timely filings and payments.
• Monitor tax deadlines, actions, queries and filing status.
• Provide practical tax technical support for Insurance Premium Tax, direct tax and indirect tax matters.
• Assist business stakeholders with day‑to‑day tax queries and issue resolution.
• Support tax readiness activities for international expansion, including compliance assessments and new operating model implementation.
• Contribute to the implementation of new tax processes, controls and transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance controls and simplify tax processes.

Required profile

• Experience in a corporate tax function, professional services firm or tax compliance environment.
• Strong knowledge of European tax compliance, especially Insurance Premium Tax.
• Proven track record supporting tax projects, business change or international expansion.
• Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, analytical and able to work independently in a fast‑paced international setting.
