Equipment Engineering Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Equipment Engineering Technician to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in the Barceloneta area. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment to ensure high reliability and compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, assemble, and replace instrument, electrical, control, and mechanical parts on production equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and calibration maintenance on high‑technology equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, P&P, and control circuit diagrams.
• Support the Control Engineer with PLC and control device troubleshooting.
• Execute calibration, certification, and documentation of instrumentation according to cGMP and OSHA standards.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) studies, and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance in a regulated environment.
• Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and document work in CMMS.
• Strong analytical skills for problem analysis and corrective actions.
