Environmental Test Engineer

About the role

Visteon is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer to conduct and analyse climatic and vibration tests for automotive customers. The role ensures test data integrity, supports ISO 17025 accreditation, and delivers accurate reports to meet OEM requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute climatic and vibration tests according to customer specifications.
• Maintain test data integrity, evaluate results, and provide timely reports.
• Collaborate with Product Development Engineering to define test setups.
• Create test sheets and evaluate test plans based on request requirements.
• Support ISO 17025 accreditation and OEM recognition programs.
• Prepare and review interim and final test reports for customers.
• Develop new tests in line with OEM, ISO, and IEC specifications.
• Enhance lab capabilities for emerging technologies and methods.
• Develop, update, and maintain test software.
• Lead or contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all test equipment is calibrated before use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Experience with electro‑dynamic shakers.
• Experience with environmental chambers.
• Proficiency with data acquisition systems.
