Engineering Trainee

About the role

Join Exide Technologies' Energy Solutions division in Castanheira do Ribatejo as an Engineering Trainee. You will support the manufacturing of stationary energy storage batteries, applying lean methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Execute TPM sheets in manufacturing areas.
• Implement 5S stations and associated tooling.
• Carry out SMED actions and create spaghetti diagrams, followed by improvement action plans.
• Support cycle‑time measurement and propose improvement initiatives.
• Apply lean tools to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good command of English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Dynamic, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.
