Engineering & Design Lead – Pharmaceutical (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering & Design Lead to drive pharmaceutical manufacturing projects in a GMP‑regulated environment. The role combines technical leadership with project coordination, ensuring designs move smoothly from concept to construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design activities for pharma manufacturing projects.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, manufacturing, quality and operations teams.
• Support projects from design through construction, installation and final hand‑over.
• Review engineering documents, drawings, specifications and deliverables.
• Work with contractors, vendors and external engineering firms.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, costs, risks and deliverables.
• Assist with cost control, budget tracking and project financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality and company standards.
• Provide technical and project updates to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in engineering design, construction or capital projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
• Background in Engineering, Project Engineering, Construction or a related technical field.
• Experience with CAPEX projects, equipment installation and infrastructure preferred.
• Familiarity with cost control, budget management or project accounting is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; Project Management certification a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site at least three days per week in Añasco, Puerto Rico.
