Emerging Store Manager

About the role

The Emerging Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations of a Walgreens pharmacy and retail store. This role ensures smooth front‑end service, optimal merchandising, and contributes to sales and profitability while stepping in as acting manager when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise customer service associates and front‑end staff, assigning daily tasks and managing schedules.
• Oversee cash management, register counts, bank withdrawals, and safe deposits.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for both retail and pharmacy sections, executing resets, price changes, and corrective actions.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of both interior and exterior spaces.
• Collaborate with external partners and the Pharmacy Operations Manager on community outreach and partnership opportunities.
• Monitor and improve customer service metrics, handling complaints and coaching staff.
• Execute operational feedback from Store and District Managers through delegation and supervision.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a retail or pharmacy environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to make data‑driven decisions and follow up on impact.
