Embedded Software Developer – Radar Systems

About the role

At Bosch Braga we develop embedded software for the next generation of radar technology. You will work closely with colleagues in Germany to bring advanced Radar Signal Processing (RSP) algorithms into efficient, real‑time execution on DSP hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C/C++ implementations of Radar Signal Processing algorithms, optimized for DSP execution.
• Optimize RSP software for performance, resource efficiency and real‑time execution.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers to transform MATLAB‑based algorithms into efficient DSP implementations.
• Write clean, maintainable and testable embedded software following coding standards and guidelines.
• Work closely with hardware engineers, algorithm developers and software architects to create integrated solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and promote high software quality and engineering best practices.
• Document software concepts and provide technical input to software architecture decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Approximately 3 + years of relevant experience in embedded software development.
• Practical experience developing and debugging software for embedded systems.
• Experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
• Automotive embedded software experience is a plus.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Version control with Git.
• Build tools such as CMake.
• Static analysis tools (QAC/Helix).
• Debugging tools (Lauterbach).
• DSP architecture and software optimization.
• Translating MATLAB algorithms into optimized DSP code.
• Knowledge of assembly language (advantage).
