Electromechanical Technician

About the role

The Electromechanical Technician will join Ascenza Agro’s crop‑protection production site in Setúbal, supporting the reliability of machinery and automation equipment. The role focuses on maintaining, diagnosing and improving electromechanical assets to ensure continuous, safe operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform failure diagnostics and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and equipment according to defined procedures.
• Plan and execute work orders, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
• Assemble, install and commission new machines or systems, following technical specifications and ATEX requirements where applicable.
• Monitor equipment performance, adjust settings and program PLCs to optimise operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including failure reports, parts replacement and improvement recommendations.
• Identify improvement opportunities, contribute to indicator analysis and promote best‑practice maintenance.
• Apply safety, environment and quality guidelines during all activities and report any deviations.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma with an electromechanical certificate.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance (mandatory).
• Knowledge of ATEX safety standards is a plus.
