Dialysis Nurse – Full‑time – Amadora

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Dialysis Nurse to join our renal care team in Amadora. The role is full‑time, on‑site, and focuses on delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across all clinical settings of the dialysis clinic.
• Apply evidence‑based practices and uphold quality standards.
• Document nursing interventions promptly and accurately.
• Promote patient autonomy, empower families, and ensure treatment adherence.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in initiatives that coordinate different levels of healthcare.
• Engage in continuous improvement and record incidents.
• Support national and international research projects.
• Assist in training and developing colleagues' competencies.
• Help manage and organise the nursing team’s workflow and resolve clinical or organisational issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing with a valid professional licence.
• Ability to work with or without prior dialysis experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
• Personal competencies such as initiative, critical thinking, decision‑making, communication, conflict management, and teamwork.
