Dialysis Nurse (Full-time) – Algés, Portugal

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Dialysis Nurse to join our renal care team in Algés. The role involves providing high‑quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis, supporting their autonomy and ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care across all clinical settings of the dialysis clinic.
• Apply evidence‑based practices and maintain quality standards.
• Document nursing interventions promptly and accurately.
• Promote patient and family empowerment, encouraging self‑management.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in coordination initiatives across healthcare levels.
• Engage in continuous improvement and incident reporting.
• Support national and international research projects.
• Assist in training and developing colleagues’ competencies.
• Help organise and manage the nursing team’s workflow.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing with a valid professional licence.
• Ability to work with or without prior dialysis experience.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, decision‑making, communication, conflict management and teamwork abilities.
