DevOps Trainee – Internship Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Trainee to support our engineering team in building and maintaining development and production environments. This internship offers hands‑on experience in automation, cloud services, and continuous delivery within a fast‑moving capital‑markets technology division.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining automation tools for software development and infrastructure management.
• Support the design and execution of secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
• Help manage and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve workflows and deployment efficiency.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute ideas for scalable and reliable systems.
• Automate repetitive tasks and optimise existing scripts and processes.
• Document DevOps processes, tools, and best practices.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins).
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
