Development Engineer – Reliability (f/m/div.)

About the role

As a Development Engineer – Reliability Responsible you will ensure product quality and reliability throughout the development lifecycle, from design to validation, while adhering to Bosch engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and moderate quality prevention and product improvement sessions such as FMEA, DRBFM and risk assessments.
• Plan, execute and analyse design validation tests and present results to development teams.
• Develop new test methods and build test rigs to support reliability testing.
• Conduct technical and safety reviews within product development projects.
• Organise and facilitate risk‑management meetings with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and reliability processes.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in technical product development and reliability testing is valued.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude and good communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical design, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and/or electronics.
• Understanding of statistical methods, component design, reliability testing and material science.
• Familiarity with risk‑management tools such as IQPro (nice to have).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
