About the role
Join the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations as a Detection Enforcement Officer. You will protect critical intelligence networks and detect threats across air, maritime and land domains.
Key responsibilities
- Develop leads, gather evidence and intelligence on potential criminal activity using the DHS Domain Awareness Network.
- Detect, identify, track and facilitate interception of illicit activity in air, maritime and land environments.
- Interpret and analyze intelligence data, operational reports, messages and tracking information.
- Coordinate operational activities through various radio and telecommunications systems.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship.
- Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service.
- Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug testing.
- Compliance with federal ethics and conflict-of-interest rules.
Required skills
- Use of the DHS Domain Awareness Network.
- Radio communications systems.
- Telecommunications systems for operational coordination.
What we offer
- GS-11 salary range $74,678 – $97,087 with promotion potential to GS-12 ($116,362).
