Data Python Developer – Investment Sector

About the role

Develop and calculate indices for the Investment sector using the Dataiku platform, delivering robust and maintainable Python code that meets business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and calculate indices using Dataiku.
• Write clean, maintainable, and robust Python code following best practices.
• Assess project feasibility and technical complexity, ensuring high code quality.
• Design and implement optimized, scalable data processing workflows.
• Conduct peer code reviews and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with business teams to track progress and advance use cases.
• Produce clear technical documentation, including code comments.
• Monitor applications in production, continuously improving performance and reliability.
• Ensure successful development and computation of new index families over the next six months.

Required profile

• Strong senior‑level experience in Python development.
• Hands‑on experience with Dataiku or similar data‑science/data‑engineering platforms.
• Solid knowledge of data pipeline design and large‑scale data processing.
• Experience with software‑engineering best practices such as clean code, testing, version control and code reviews.
• Ability to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
• Experience working with production systems, including monitoring and performance optimisation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience writing clear and structured technical documentation.
