Data Platform Engineering Lead

About the role

The Data Platform Engineering Lead will own the design, implementation and ongoing operation of Tekever's Data & Analytics platform. You will guide a team of data architects and engineers to deliver scalable, secure and high‑performance data solutions that support the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing team of data architects and engineers.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end development of data pipelines, storage, processing and analytics components.
• Define and maintain the overall data platform architecture, ensuring it meets business needs and future growth.
• Set technology strategy, select the stack and enforce architecture standards.
• Design integration approaches for diverse data sources while guaranteeing data quality.
• Ensure scalability, performance optimisation and cost‑efficiency of the platform.
• Implement robust security controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers and other stakeholders.
• Drive continuous innovation by staying current with emerging data technologies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of pipelines, ETL processes and architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams.
• Proven track record designing large‑scale data platforms.
